The National Bank of the Republic of Belarus has decided to lower its refinancing rate by 100 bps to 14 percent as of 19th April 2016, amid a slowdown in inflation. The annual inflation rate was last recorded at 7 percent in February 2017 compared to 9.5 percent in the previous month, the lowest since July 2010. Interest Rate in Belarus averaged 51.38 percent from 1991 until 2017, reaching an all time high of 480 percent in November of 1994 and a record low of 10 percent in December of 2006.
