Denmark Retail Sales YoY

Danish retail sales fell 1.3 percent year-on-year in January of 2017, after being flat in the previous month. It was the biggest drop since July of 2016, as sales continued to fall for clothing (-5.3 percent vs -1.6 percent in December) and for food and other groceries (-3.9 percent vs -1.3 percent). Meanwhile, sales rose for other consumer goods (2.1 percent vs 1.4 percent). On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, retail trade went up 0.2 percent, after a downwardly revised 1.2 percent drop in December. Retail Sales YoY in Denmark averaged 1.28 percent from 1996 until 2017, reaching an all time high of 15.10 percent in April of 2000 and a record low of -10.30 percent in February of 2009.
