Imports to Macau increased by 9.1 percent year-on-year to MOP 5.18 billion in February of 2017, mainly boosted by watches (50.5 percent), followed by gold jewellry (20.6 percent), handbags & wallets (18.5 percent), garment & footwear (6.3 percent), mobile phone (5.9 percent), and food & beverages (3.4 percent). Imports in Macau averaged 3525898.82 Thousand MOP from 1997 until 2016, reaching an all time high of 8993061.49 Thousand MOP in December of 2014 and a record low of 781040 Thousand MOP in February of 2000.
