Macedonia’s retail trade decreased 5.6 percent year-on-year in February of 2017 compared to a 0.6 percent rise in the previous month. Sales dropped for non-food products (-16.4 percent from -7 percent) and for automotive fuel (-5.9 percent vs 1.1 percent). In addition, sales of food, beverages and tobacco increased at a slower pace (4 percent vs 7.1 percent). Retail Sales Yoy in Macedonia averaged 0.38 percent from 2011 until 2017, reaching an all time high of 16 percent in March of 2016 and a record low of -16.70 percent in January of 2014.
