UK’s National Minimum Wage increased to £7.20 per hour in April 2016 from £6.70 in 2015. From this month, all workers aged 25 and over are legally entitled to at least £7.20 per hour. Also, the minimum wage for workers aged 21 to 24 is £6.70 per hour; 18 to 20: £5.30 per hour; and under 18: £3.87 per hour. Minimum Wages in the United Kingdom averaged 6.12 GBP/Hour from 2005 until 2017, reaching an all time high of 7.20 GBP/Hour in 2016 and a record low of 5.05 GBP/Hour in 2005.
